Rumer Willis<\/strong><\/a> and Derek Richard Thomas<\/strong><\/a> split one year after welcoming their baby girl, Louetta<\/a>. The 36-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis<\/strong> <\/a>and Demi Moore<\/strong><\/a> confirmed the breakup during an Instagram \u201cask me anything\u201d session on Thursday, August 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you and Derek still a couple?\u201d one social media user asked Rumer, to which she replied, \u201cNope I am single momming it and co-parenting [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

The What Lies Ahead<\/em> actress then referred to her and Derek\u2019s daughter in the answer, writing that Louetta \u201cis the best thing in my life, and I am forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumer went Instagram official with Derek in November 2022. At the time, she shared Instagram photos of the two of them sharing a kiss. However, they had already sparked romance rumors beforehand. In August of that year, Derek took to his own Instagram by sharing a birthday tribute to Rumer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the short time we\u2019ve been together you have filled my life with joy and peace,\u201d he wrote at the time. \u201cEverything is just so easy with you. We sing, we dance, we play and most of all we laugh. Thank you for being you, you\u2019re a magical human I\u2019m so glad you came into my life :-)\u201d<\/p>\n

That December, Rumer announced that she was pregnant and expecting her and Derek\u2019s first child. The Once Upon a Time \u2026 in Hollywood<\/em> actress gave birth to their baby girl in April 2023.<\/p>\n

Rumer spoke with PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> in August 2023 about the name she and Derek had chosen for their daughter, which she revealed was actually a typo.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were thinking about the name Loretta, and it was a typo,\u201d Rumer said, before adding, \u201cHer dad and I were texting, and he left the \u2018R\u2019 out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta. I was like, \u2018Oh, I love that!\u2019 I feel like it was one of those kind of divine intervention universe moments, and we figured it out actually quite early in my pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
