Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>\u2019s team has threatened to hit former President Donald J. Trump\u2019s campaign with an official cease-and-desist order over the use of her 2016 Lemonade<\/em><\/a> hit \u201cFreedom<\/a>,\u201d Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> reports. On Tuesday (August 20), a Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, posted a 13-second video on X<\/a> that depicts Trump deplaning onto a tarmac in Michigan. The clip was scored by \u201cFreedom,\u201d reportedly without Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s permission.<\/p>\n

\u201cFreedom\u201d has recently been adopted<\/a> by Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 campaign, and it\u2019s been featured in ads<\/a> with the artist\u2019s blessing<\/a>. It was played proudly<\/a> at the Democratic National Convention, too.<\/p>\n

Pitchfork has reached out to Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s representatives for comment and additional information.<\/p>\n
