All of our contributions deserve to be accepted and valued because no one has a monopoly on what it means to be an American.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"group\/conversation-turn relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col agent-turn\">\n<div class=\"flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto whitespace-pre-wrap\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"885ff777-795f-47e5-ad14-584e31365997\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-12\">Even as Obama energized the crowd with hope\u2014a rhetoric that harkened back to Barack Obama\u2019s first presidential campaign in 2008\u2014she cautioned that the matchup with Trump would still be a fight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-13\">\u201cAs we embrace this renewed sense of hope, let us not forget the despair we have felt,\u201d she said, reminding Democrats of the stakes of the election and adding that they face an \u201cuphill battle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-14\">\u201cWe cannot get a Goldilocks complex about whether everything is just right,\u201d she said. \u201cWe cannot indulge our anxieties about whether this country will elect someone like Kamala instead of doing everything we can to get someone like Kamala elected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-15\">\u201cIt\u2019s up to us to remember what Kamala\u2019s mother told her: \u2018Don\u2019t just sit around and complain. Do something,\u2019\u201d Obama added, as the convention crowd chanted: \u201cDo something!
