\u201cPlayers love to push the boundaries, and that\u2019s part of the fun of it all,\u201d Stouffer says. \u201cYou have an idea of what players are going to do, but you don\u2019t truly know what will happen until you put it in people\u2019s hands. Even the players who come in with the best intentions, they will do things where we say \u2018oh, we didn\u2019t know that could happen\u2019. All bets are off.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not just technical feedback that Stoic wants to gather from early players either. Stoic has recognized its community\u2019s eye for great storytelling and ideas, and considers players almost as co-developers in its journey to build Towerborne<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe have ideas of where the story is going, but we\u2019re totally willing to pivot if another idea comes from the community,\u201d Jorgensen says. \u201cWe had that happen a lot with Banner Saga, where we\u2019d see a great idea but it\u2019s too late to add it into a single player game.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis is our opportunity to really build a game with the players again. We think our ideas are great and hope that players agree, but they are going to have awesome ideas too, and to me, that\u2019s the coolest part about making Towerborne<\/em> a living game.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
