Chappell Roan<\/strong><\/a> made it clear that her celebrity status isn\u2019t an invitation for uncomfortable fan interactions. In a series of TikTok<\/a> videos that the 26-year-old \u201cRed Wine Supernova\u201d artist posted on Monday, August 19, she asked fans to think about a few questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need you to answer questions, just answer my questions for a second: If you saw a random woman on the street, would you yell at her from your car window?\u201d Chappell asked. \u201cWould you harass her in public? Would you go up to a random lady and say, \u2018Can I take a photo with you?\u2019 and she says \u2018No, what the f**k?\u2019 and then you get mad at this random lady? Would you be offended if she says no to your time because she has her own time?\u201d<\/p>\n

Chappell continued by asking if anyone would \u201cstalk her family\u201d or \u201cfollow her around,\u201d then asked if anyone would \u201ctry to dissect her life and bully her online.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cGood Luck, Babe!\u201d songstress also pointed out to viewers that the \u201clady\u201d in this scenario is someone \u201cyou don\u2019t know and she doesn\u2019t know you at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWould you assume that she\u2019s a good person, assume she\u2019s a bad person?\u201d she prompted. \u201cWould you assume everything you read online about her is true? I\u2019m a random b**ch, you\u2019re a random b**ch. Just think about that for a second, OK?\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow-up TikTok post, Chappell pointed to the public opinion that it\u2019s \u201cnormal\u201d to investigate a celebrity\u2019s personal life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous, whatever,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t care that it\u2019s normal. I don\u2019t care that this crazy type of behavior comes along with the job, the career field I\u2019ve chosen. That does not make it OK, that doesn\u2019t make it normal. That doesn\u2019t mean that I want it, that doesn\u2019t mean that I like it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the past year, Chappell has reached new levels of stardom thanks to her breakthrough Lollapalooza and Coachella performances. Moreover, she\u2019s gained a strong social media presence with millions of followers. However, fame can come with uninvited attention, which she pointed out in her second clip.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t give a f**k if you think it\u2019s selfish of me to say \u2018no\u2019 for a photo or for your time or for a hug. That\u2019s not normal. That\u2019s weird,\u201d she doubled down.<\/p>\n

The \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d artist went on to note that she doesn\u2019t want \u201cwhatever the f**k you think you\u2019re supposed to be entitled to whenever you see a celebrity.\u201d\u00a0At the end of her second video, the \u201cHOT TO GO!\u201d singer insisted that she is \u201callowed to say \u2018no\u2019 to creepy behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
