Drake Bell<\/strong><\/a> is open to creating a Drake & Josh<\/em> reboot \u2014 or something similar. The 38-year-old musician revealed that he and his former on-screen stepbrother, Josh Peck<\/strong><\/a>, have \u201ctalked about\u201d a potential project.<\/p>\n \u201cI would love to. We\u2019ve talked about it,\u201d Drake said in an interview with The Patriot-News<\/em> <\/a>published on August 16. However, Drake noted that he \u201calso didn\u2019t want to do it when everyone was doing the reboots. It\u2019s like, \u2018OK, of course, let\u2019s do a reboot because everyone\u2019s doing reboots.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cI Found a Way\u201d singer-songwriter then pointed out that if they are \u201cgoing to do something, it should be more special,\u201d adding, \u201cLet\u2019s hit \u2019em with a bang, instead of, \u2018oh, another reboot.’\u201d<\/p>\n Although Drake did not name the reboots he was referring to, Nickelodeon has recently produced several sequel projects, including the iCarly<\/em> series, Zoey 102<\/em> and Good Burger 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n Elsewhere in his interview, Drake pointed out that he wouldn\u2019t want to continue Drake & Josh<\/em> with the same characters.<\/p>\n Drake Bell says he would be up for a \u2018Drake & Josh\u2019 reboot:<\/p>\n \u201cI would love to. But I think it\u2019d be funnier if we go on to doing other buddy comedies, you know. Something that is kind of a surprise, a little different. It would be more interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n Drake\u2019s comments come five months after it was revealed that he was sexually assaulted by a former Nickelodeon crew member named Brian Peck<\/strong><\/a> (no relation to Josh Peck) in the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV<\/em> <\/a>docuseries. In 2004, Brian pleaded no contest to a charge of oral copulation with a minor under 16 and to a charge of performing a lewd act with a 14- or 15-year-old. At the time, Drake was not publicly identified as the victim. Brian spent 16 months in prison and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
