People on the internet don’t seem to like Google’s new smartphone naming<\/a> scheme, even though it makes sense – there’s a vanilla Pixel 9<\/a> which is the lowest-specced, two slab Pros in two sizes, and a Pro<\/i> Fold<\/a> because with that price tag not attaching the “Pro” moniker to it would be insane.<\/p>\n Anyway, the same people are probably going to not like the direction Samsung is now rumored to be considering going in the future. According to a tipster over on X, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not be called that. Instead, Samsung could go with Galaxy S26 Note, to emphasize its built-in S Pen.<\/p>\n But wait, that’s not all! The Galaxy S26+ may be called Galaxy S26 Pro instead, we assume because Samsung has finally spotted the trend of Pro models everywhere<\/a>, and that word is currently missing from its mobile portfolio.<\/p>\n Don’t take this for granted, as it’s still very early days, plus even the source of the rumor is only implying that the Korean company is thinking<\/i> about changing branding, not that it’s something set in stone already.<\/p>\n All of that aside, what do you think sounds better?
