The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro<\/a> have long been rumored to be the first devices coming out<\/a> using Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, once that’s unveiled in October.<\/p>\n

But vivo and Oppo’s direct competitors for the aforementioned Xiaomi devices won’t employ the same chip, instead going with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. And because of that, they will launch before the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro.<\/p>\n

We’re talking of course about the vivo X200<\/a> and X200 Pro<\/a>, as well as the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro<\/a>. According to Weibo’s Digital Chat Station, these are all scheduled to be introduced before Xiaomi’s handsets, which most likely means the vivo and Oppo phones will be announced in early October.<\/p>\n

This also tells us that MediaTek will take the wraps off the Dimensity 9400 before Qualcomm unveils the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.<\/p>\n
