Teen Mom OG<\/em>\u00a0alum Bristol Palin<\/a><\/strong> had to celebrate her son Tripp Johnston\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> first day of school from a distance, as she revealed he has moved back to Alaska.<\/p>\n The 33-year-old mom shared festive snaps of her other children, Sailor Grace<\/strong> and Atlee Bay<\/strong>, on their first day and then revealed that her eldest son had traveled back to Alaska \u201cto finish out high school closer to his dad and our entire family.\u201d<\/p>\n She noted that this time around, \u201cThis has been the hardest \u2018first day of school\u2019 yet, with one of the biggest pieces of my heart missing.\u201d<\/p>\n She shared, \u201cAs hard as it has been to come to grips with his decision\u2014it\u2019s truly not about what I want,\u201d she continued. \u201cHe\u2019s almost 16 years old, and that relationship with his dad is a lot more important than my own selfish desire to have him with his mama forever! I can\u2019t talk about it yet without crying, but I\u2019m selfishly praying for a quick year and an easy transition for us all.\u201d<\/p>\n Bristol became well-known as the daughter of John McCain\u2019s running mate, Sarah Palin, and during her time on Teen Mom<\/em>, which she eventually left because, as she noted on her Instagram<\/span><\/a>, the show \u201cwasn\u2019t a fit for me, it took away my peace\u2026 and honestly, my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford\u2026 $ doesn\u2019t impress me, I don\u2019t entertain BS, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction.\u201d<\/p>\n As a single mother of three, she has learned to co-parent with ex-partners Levi Johnston<\/strong> and Dakota Meyer<\/strong>. Her greatest joy is her children, and as she previously wrote in a post<\/span><\/a>, \u201cFrom pregnant at 17 years old to being a single mom of 3\u2014you don\u2019t have to know much about me to know that my life definitely does not have a white picket fence around it\u2026 Despite my own shortcomings or \u2018less than ideal\u2019 circumstances, becoming *and being* a mom to these babies has been the absolute greatest joy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
