Filmmaker Eddie Schmidt, one of the directors behind Netflix\u2019s <em>Ugly Delicious<\/em>, is prepping a documentary about the handset, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/blackberry-documentary-mark-wahlberg-1235974171\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:according to The Hollywood Reporter;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The documentary is currently in production and is being made by Unrealistic Ideas, which is a production company founded by Mark Wahlberg aka the guy from <em>Fear<\/em>. This team was behind HBO\u2019s <em>McMillions<\/em>, a documentary miniseries about the infamous McDonald&#8217;s Monopoly promotion scam.<\/p>\n<p>The project is currently untitled and there\u2019s no release date, but we do know that the filmmakers have been given exclusive access to the Research In Motion Alumni Association. So there will be plenty of interviews with former executives who were involved in the BlackBerry story in one way or another.
