The Swift-West feud<\/a> continues \u2014 at least when it comes to music. Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s The Tortured Poets Department<\/em> album is No. 1 on the Billboard<\/em> 200 chart for the 14th time, while Kanye \u201cYe\u201d West<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Vultures 2<\/em> is ranked No. 2 on the chart. Billboard<\/em> reported the rankings on Sunday, August 11.<\/p>\n

TTPD<\/em> was released earlier this year as a double album, quickly becoming one of Taylor\u2019s most successful albums of all time. The \u201cKarma\u201d hitmaker, 34, announced that she was releasing the new music after winning the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in February.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to say \u2018thank you\u2019 to the fans by telling you a secret that I\u2019ve been keeping from you for the past two years,\u201d Taylor said while accepting her award, before adding, \u201cWhich is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It\u2019s called The Tortured Poets Department.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

On top of her latest album, Taylor has been performing around the world for her Eras Tour<\/em> since mid-2023. As for Ye, 47, the rapper\u2019s Vultures 2<\/em> was in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Ye have been in an icy feud since 2009 when the \u201cStronger\u201d artist interrupted her Video Music Awards acceptance speech after winning Best Female Video. In that moment, Ye took the microphone from Taylor and said that Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> released one of the best albums \u201cof all time.\u201d Upon giving the mic back to Taylor, she fell silent. Later on, Bey, 42, invited Taylor to finish her acceptance speech on stage.<\/p>\n

Despite the harsh moment, Taylor and Ye patched things up and became friends a few years later. However, their alliance quickly turned into a rivalry after Ye released his single \u201cFamous,\u201d which features a dig at Taylor: \u201cI feel like me and Taylor might still have sex \/ Why? I made that b**ch famous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ye\u2019s then-wife, Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>, released recordings of a phone call between Ye and Taylor, in which the \u201cLove Story\u201d artist was heard agreeing with a portion of that lyric. Since then, Ye and Taylor have been at odds.<\/p>\n

Last year, Taylor brought up the feud<\/a> during her December 2023 TIME<\/em> cover story.<\/p>\n
