This is a \u201ccelebration of upcoming nightmarish games\u201d made by developers throughout the world and will be hosted by DreadXP, an indie publisher responsible for well-received games like <em>The Mortuary Assistant<\/em> and <em>Sucker for Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming streaming event promises \u201cloads of cool new indie horror\u201d from both DreadXP and plenty of third-party developers. As a matter of fact, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indiehorrorshowcase.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:submissions are open to anyone;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a>, just in case you\u2019ve been tooling around with something particularly frightening.<\/p>\n<p>There were some noteworthy games discussed during last year\u2019s event. These included the now-iconic <em>Slay the Princess<\/em> and the supernatural phone operator sim <em>Home Safety Hotline<\/em>. Other standouts from last year included <em>Pneumata<\/em> and <em>Janet DeMornay is a Slumlord (and a witch)<\/em>. DreadXP says that last year\u2019s showcase featured more than 60 trailers and announcements. This year\u2019s event should fall somewhere in that range.<\/p>\n<p>The publisher hasn\u2019t given any indication as to which titles to be on the lookout for this year, but submissions are still open until September 16. This title leverages the \u201cfound footage\u201d format from many horror movies and brings it to gaming.
