In honor of Polly Pocket\u2019s 35th anniversary, Airbnb<\/a> on Wednesday unveiled<\/a> a new adventure experience: a life-sized version of the Mattel<\/a> doll\u2019s iconic plastic house in Polly\u2019s hometown of Littleton, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n Its host, Polly herself, is inviting nostalgia seekers to her \u201cSlumber Party Fun\u201d home while she\u2019s away on vacation, writing in a listing<\/a> that she turned it into a \u201890s time machine \u201cwhere your imagination can run wild.\u201d<\/p>\n There are some small caveats, however. The house, which is shaped like a makeup compact, doesn\u2019t have a roof and doesn\u2019t close because, like its host, \u201cit\u2019s always open to adventure,\u201d according to the listing. The property also does not have showers on site, and warns of potential noise from \u201cnature sounds at night.\u201d<\/p>\n Still, Airbnb says the home is \u201cstraight out of a \u201890s dream\u201d and open for an adventure of \u201clife-sized proportions.\u201d<\/p>\n Guests can try on clothes in Polly\u2019s closet, accessorize with press-on nails and butterfly hair clips, make charm bracelets, and enjoy a movie marathon with popcorn and video cassettes. Based on the famous Mattel dollhouse design, the listing offered two one-night stays for up to two guests along the Malibu coastline.<\/p>\n Other recent viral listings include a replica of the house from Disney<\/a> and Pixar\u2019s Up<\/em>, a re-creation of Marvel\u2019s X-Men<\/em> mansion, and a private living room concert by rapper Doja Cat.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWhat if these worlds, that only exist in your imagination, could somehow become real?\u201d CEO Brian Chesky said<\/a> in a May interview with CBS Mornings<\/em>.<\/p>\n Like her Mattel colleague, Polly is also getting a big-screen feature. First announced<\/a> in June 2021, the live-action movie is set to star Emily in Paris<\/em> actress Lily Collins as the title role.
