Canadian pole vaulter and OnlyFans star Alysha Newman<\/strong> went viral Wednesday after celebrating her Olympic bronze medal by twerking.<\/p>\n

Newman stunned fans in Paris when she cleared 4.85 meters in a hotly contested women\u2019s pole vault final. But she didn\u2019t stop there.<\/p>\n

After securing the bronze medal\u2014the first of her Olympic career\u2014the 30-year-old began running toward the crowd before momentarily pausing to twerk in celebration with a big grin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited. I laugh because getting third is, I mean, I\u2019ve never got third, but it\u2019s funny because you still have to wait and sit there until the other girls are done,\u201d Newman said after medaling. \u201cSo I\u2019m awkwardly standing there like, \u2018What do I do? Do I celebrate? Do I kiss everyone? Do I cry?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Her Olympic celebration has had mixed reactions from fans, some wondering if the cheeky move was done to boost traffic to her private content. Newman, who is from Ontario, Canada, has been using the OnlyFans platform, charging \u00a310 ($12.70) a month for access to her adult-only content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Newman is one of several athletes at the Games using OnlyFans to make extra cash.<\/p>\n

Team GB diver Jack Laugher<\/strong> sent fans into a frenzy when he unveiled his account, charging $10 per month for access to his content. Opening up about his decision to use OnlyFans, Laugher said, \u201cI\u2019ll do anything to hustle some more money.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, I\u2019ve got what people want,\u201d the 29-year-old told The Telegraph<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ll happily cash in on that. I\u2019m a bit of a hustler and I want a bit more money if I can.\u201d<\/p>\n

The diver said the adult-only site helps supplement the insufficient salary he makes as a competitive athlete.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe funding hasn\u2019t changed [in years],\u201d he stated. \u201cI\u2019m top three in the world, and it is \u00a328,000 [USD $36,000] a year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newman also opened up about using the platform during an interview with German outlet BILD, stating that it gives her greater confidence. \u201cI earn money with what I post\u2014you have to log in to find out. It makes me confident and I feel good about it,\u201d she told the news outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, many people have a certain clich\u00e9 when they think of OnlyFans. I can\u2019t change many people\u2019s minds,\u201d Newman added, speaking more on her side hustle. \u201cBut this website has connected me with many fans, more than any other pole vaulter before.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat others think about it doesn\u2019t bother me. I am who I am, and I do it well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
