Bright Eyes<\/a> have announced a lengthy 2025 tour, and they\u2019re back with another new song from their upcoming album Five Dice, All Threes<\/a>.<\/em> \u201cRainbow Overpass<\/a>\u201d is a horn-fueled single featuring gang vocals by the So So Glos<\/a>\u2019 Alex Orange Drink. Conor Oberst elaborated on that collaboration at the heart of \u201cRainbow Overpass\u201d in a statement, saying, \u201c[Alex is] kinda like my hype man, getting a little Beastie Boys on the shit! They grew up on punk rock and the Beasties, so there are a lot of little bursts of other voices. I like that. It creates energy. Sometimes music can feel flat until you get into a live situation, when there\u2019s adrenaline and raw energy. Instead of working in reverse, where that happens as we tour, I was trying to get some of that energy onto the record.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bright Eyes already had a few tour dates<\/a> on the book for this fall in the U.S. and Europe, but now they\u2019re expanding that run with a long list of concerts that keeps them on the road well into 2025. The new dates begin in Phoenix, Arizona on January 16 and will last on through April 26 when Bright Eyes perform in West Des Moines, Iowa. See their full list of tour dates below.<\/p>\n

In addition to Alex Orange Drink, who co-wrote several other songs on the record, Five Dice, All Threes<\/em> includes guest features by Cat Power<\/a> and the National<\/a>\u2019s Matt Berninger<\/a>. It follows the band\u2019s 2020 comeback record Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was<\/em><\/a> and includes the lead single \u201cBells and Whistles<\/a>\u201d from this past June.<\/p>\n
