Adin Ross, a controversial streamer who has been banned from Twitch at least<\/a> seven times, interviewed and gifted former President Donald Trump a custom Tesla<\/a> Cybertruck on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n After interviewing Trump for a little over an hour, Ross led Trump outside of his Mar-a-Lago home to present the Cybertruck<\/a>, which was adorned with the now-iconic photo of a bloodied Trump raising his fist after being shot, a flurry of American flags, and a red \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d logo wrapped at the front.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s an Elon,\u201d Trump joked as he saw the car, referring to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. \u201cIt\u2019s beautiful. It\u2019s incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n The gift came almost immediately after Trump went on a four minute rant about an \u201celectric vehicle mandate\u201d that will \u201cdestroy the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The Republican nominee began by talking about the extraordinary amount of electricity that A.I. requires, and that if he became president, he would build more power plants to accommodate the new technology. Then, he turned his attention toward what he saw as wastes of electricity.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, they have this electric car mandate, and [electric cars] don\u2019t go far. They cost a lot. They\u2019re gonna be made in China,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd under Biden, he wants everybody to drive electric: No more gas-propelled cars, no more hybrids, no more anything. Think of it. How crazy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n He then focused his attention on the short distance electric cars can go compared to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles that use gasoline or diesel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cSame thing with trucks; they want trucks to go electric,\u201d Trump said. He said that to get from his home in Mar-a-Lago to Los Angeles, an electric truck has to make \u201csix stops,\u201d whereas a diesel truck can make no stops over the roughly 2,600 mile trek.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOne gentleman, the biggest guy in that business, he said to me that \u2018all my life I\u2019ve been buying trucks, 50 years I\u2019ve been buying trucks, and every year they got better, bigger, stronger, more beautiful,\u201d Trump said. \u201cHe said a truck 50 years ago would have been better than what they\u2019re making us use right now. And I say, \u2018When you explain that, do they do anything?\u2019 They sit there they look and they say, \u2018We don\u2019t care. That\u2019s our mandate. You have to go all-electric.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHorrible,\u201d Ross replied. He then went on to close the interview. \u201cI know you\u2019re very busy\u2026 but I do want to give you this last gift,\u201d Ross said, referring to the Cybertruck.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ross and Trump sat in the truck and listened to the Beatles, Beach Boys, and Michael Jackson (\u201ca very good guy,\u201d Trump said). The former President did not extensively talk about or praise the truck beyond first calling it \u201cbeautiful\u201d and \u201cincredible,\u201d but he sent a message to Musk, saying \u201cElon, you\u2019re great. I don\u2019t know if you\u2019re seeing this but you\u2019re really good.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Over half a million people watched the stream live, according to Ross.\u00a0He praised Trump and also gave him a Rolex watch. Ross has faced multiple bans from streaming platforms for the use of hate speech <\/a>and showing inappropriate content during livestreams. He has also supported influencer Andrew Tate<\/a>, who is facing serious legal issues including charges of rape and human trafficking<\/a>. <\/p>\n The Cybertruck gift comes one day after Trump said he had<\/a> \u201cno choice\u201d but to support electric cars since Musk began endorsing him.\u00a0<\/p>\n After a history of dismissing electric vehicles, Trump told supporters in Atlanta that they aren\u2019t all that bad. He added that they could continue to be a small slice of the U.S. car market should he retake the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m for electric cars. I have to be, you know, because Elon Musk endorsed me very strongly,\u201d he said in comments shared widely throughout Musk\u2019s fan base by accounts like John Stringer\u2019s Tesla Owners Silicon Valley and blog site<\/a> Teslarati. \u201cSo I have no choice.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, Trump may have no choice but to become a Tesla owner himself. It is unclear if he accepted the gift or not.\u00a0<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
