On Aug. 1, the Mama June: Family Crisis<\/em> star filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Josh Efird<\/strong>, claiming that their marriage is \u201cirretrievably broken.\u201d The former couple, who share four children\u2014Ella<\/strong>, 6, Bentley<\/strong>, 3, and 2-year-old twins Sylus<\/strong> and Stella<\/strong>\u2014have apparently been in a \u201cbona fide state of separation\u201d since July, according to Lauryn and the settlement agreement.<\/p>\n The pair have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody, according to court documents. They also have a parenting plan in place within the settlement agreement and have each waived the right to request child support.<\/p>\n Josh, 28, has been given 60 days to remove his belongings from the family\u2019s shared home in Georgia, as Lauryn, 24, will be taking over the property herself, per the documents.<\/p>\n Pumpkin and Josh tied the knot in 2018, nearly six months after welcoming their first child together.<\/p>\n \u201cThey say [babies] change things, but honestly I think a kid is maybe what we needed in our relationship,\u201d she told Us Weekly<\/em> <\/a>in 2018. \u201cWe\u2019ve become closer than any other time. We both help each other out. It\u2019s like it\u2019s a team thing now.\u201d<\/p>\n Lauryn has often praised her husband\u2019s skills as a father on social media. While she has posted less this year, in a June 2022 Instagram<\/a> post, she called Josh the \u201cBEST father I\u2019ve known.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAll my life I prayed God would send me someone I could have a family with and love forever and he sent me you. Thank you for being the best father to all of our babies including Alana,\u201d she wrote in the caption, referring to her younger sister, Alana \u201cHoney Boo Boo\u201d<\/strong> Thompson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019ve never failed to show up and show the kids what a real man is. I\u2019ll forever be thankful for you. Me and the kids love you so very much. \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n Both Josh and Pumpkin have been honest about their ups and downs throughout their relationship, including the toll Pumpkin\u2019s mom, 44-year-old Mama June Shannon, has had on them, especially when she made headlines.<\/p>\n \u201cOver the last couple of years,\u201d she shared in a 2022 episode of Mama June: Road to Redemption<\/em>, \u201cMama has been a lot of me and Josh\u2019s marriage problems.\u201d<\/p>\n But as they shared at the time, they were trying their best to move forward and remain a united front, with Pumpkin noting, \u201cWe\u2019re trying to put our marriage as the top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n Mama June shares daughters Anna \u201cChickadee\u201d Cardwell<\/strong> <\/a>and Jessica Shannon<\/strong><\/a> with ex David Dunn<\/strong><\/a>, Lauryn with ex Michael Anthony Ford<\/strong><\/a>, and Alana with ex Mike \u201cSugar Bear\u201d Thompson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n However, it has been a difficult year for their family as they grappled with the death of Anna<\/a> in December. She was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma last year and died months later at the age of 29.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
