Leave it to Flavor Flav<\/strong><\/a> and Alexis Ohanian<\/strong><\/a> to save the day for one Olympian. After discus throw competitor Veronica Fraley<\/strong> revealed on social media that she couldn\u2019t pay her rent, the rapper, 65, and Serena Williams<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 husband, 41, both promised to help her out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI compete in the Olympic Games TOMORROW and can\u2019t even pay my rent,\u201d Veronica tweeted on Thursday, August 1.<\/p>\n

The athlete added that her school \u201conly sent about 75% of my rent while they pay football players (who haven\u2019t won anything) enough to buy new cars and houses.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Flav tweeted, \u201cI gotchu,,, DM me and I\u2019ll send payment TODAY so you don\u2019t have to worry bout it TOMORROW,,, and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO,!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis then added in the comments section, \u201cC\u2019mon now! I\u2019ll split it with @flavorfav.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flav later followed up by tweeting proof that he had sent Veronica the payment. Alongside a screenshot of a DM to the athlete, he wrote, \u201cMan of my word,,, and Imma try and come by and support you in person tomorrow ,,, LMK what time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis even updated his social media followers by sharing a screenshot of his payment to Veronica, which equated to $7,760. \u201cUpdate! It is done,\u201d he tweeted. Alongside the transaction to Veronica, Alexis wrote, \u201cMURICA\u201d with a gold medal emoji and an American flag emoji.<\/p>\n

Flav is one of the most supportive celebrities when it comes to this year\u2019s Olympic Games in Paris. The \u201cPublic Enemy No. 1\u201d rapper previously explained the reason why he\u2019s dedicated to helping Team USA, as he is also a sponsor for the American women\u2019s water polo team.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing about me, I know what it feels like to want to see a dream come true,\u201d Flav previously said, per Page Six<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI know what it feels like to want to achieve a goal, and I\u2019m the type of person that, if I see you trying, then I\u2019m going to do whatever I can to help you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
