Supergoop!<\/em> is a clean beauty line that quickly developed a cult-like following with beauty lovers everywhere who can\u2019t get enough of their products. The $40 Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen<\/a> is one of them. \ud83e\udd29<\/p>\n

It\u2019s velvety soft on the skin, provides 40 SPF, is unscented, and also leaves a beautiful matte finish on your skin making it an ideal primer for flawless makeup application.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no wonder the @dermdoctor on Tiktok<\/a> (who has over 18 million followers) shared how it\u2019s one of his favorite face sunscreens and further solidified it\u2019s well worth the $36 price tag. \ud83d\ude4c\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n

However, when Trader Joe\u2019s launched their Daily Facial Sunscreen for just $8.99<\/a> a couple of years ago, it made us all question Supergoop\u2019s price. \ud83e\udd14<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When I heard just how similar they are, I had to test them both out for myself to see if Trader Joe\u2019s Daily Facial Sunscreen really is a perfect alternative\u2026or not.<\/em><\/p>\n

This stuff tends to sell out FAST so you may want to call ahead if you plan to head to your store to grab some!<\/p>\n

Luckily, I was able to find a bottle at a nearby Trader Joe\u2019s despite another location being sold out.<\/p>\n

Funny enough, the woman checking me out and <\/em>the man bagging groceries both made a comment about how much they loved the Daily Facial Sunscreen and<\/em> each of them said how they heard it\u2019s a great alternative. \ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n

Little did they know, that\u2019s exactly why I was there.<\/em> \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n

The bottles are slightly different in appearance (no surprise there). Each bottle also contains the exact same amount of product (1.7 fluid ounces). That also means both bottles are travel-friendly. Yay!\u00a0<\/em>\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also immediately obvious that both contain 40 SPF and are water and sweat-resistant for up to 40 minutes.<\/p>\n

If Trader Joe\u2019s can stand up to the test, this is a beauty alternative that will save you nearly $30!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude31<\/h2>\n

Both products claim to be weightless<\/strong>, colorless<\/strong>, fragrance-free<\/strong>, and oil-free<\/strong>, and both are cruelty-free<\/strong> meaning the products are never tested on animals.<\/p>\n

When comparing the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen<\/a> to Trader Joe\u2019s Daily Facial Sunscreen<\/a>, you\u2019ll also see they boast the same exact active ingredients. However, the first difference I discovered is the percentages of each one are not identical, but they\u2019re extremely close. (See the below photo for a comparison of active ingredients.)\ud83d\udc47\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n

So how does Trader Joe\u2019s Daily Facial Sunscreen compare to Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I know if you\u2019re still sticking with me, you\u2019re curious how each one feels on your skin. If you\u2019re already familiar with the Supergoop formula, you know it is indeed weightless, colorless, and velvety smooth.<\/p>\n

However, even though it is fragrance-free, there still is a hint of sunscreen scent. While fragrance-free means there are no additional scents added beyond the core ingredients, I couldn\u2019t help but mention that it\u2019s still noticeable. That said, I find the scent to be extremely<\/em> faint and pleasant.<\/p>\n

Trader Joe\u2019s formula has a lot to live up to so far\u2026<\/p>\n

Before testing the Trader Joe\u2019s formula, I knew I loved the user-friendly flip-top bottle way more.<\/p>\n

I was even more shocked at the resemblance and how much I loved it after putting it on! \ud83e\udd29<\/p>\n

The formula in appearance looks nearly identical to the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and only has a slightly milkier color. Both blended completely clear on my skin.<\/p>\n

I also found that each one blends seamlessly and truly is an oil-free formula which I absolutely love! A little bit of each also goes a long way so you don\u2019t need much of either product and you\u2019ll definitely get more bang for your buck with Trader Joe\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The sun protection the Trader Joe\u2019s sunscreen offers is also impressive. \ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffb<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I exclusively used this product on my neck and face for two weeks and I really started to notice a difference. Above is a recent photo of my summer tan lines and, as you can see, my neck and face (shown without any makeup) appear to be many shades lighter than my body. \ud83d\ude31 I also never burned on my face while using this product and spending a significant amount of time outside hiking, swimming, and doing other outdoorsy activities.<\/p>\n

The bottom line is\u2026I would never know the difference between these two products if you didn\u2019t tell me which one I was wearing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One thing I wasn\u2019t expecting to be wowed over was the flawless makeup application. I really do notice a difference when wearing either product! Typically, I experience creasing on my eyelids and under my eyes, but when using these as a primer and waiting 15 minutes I experience no creasing whatsoever! \ud83e\udd29<\/p>\n

My sensitive skin has also remained clear and happy with each of these products so I think it\u2019s safe to say I\u2019m sold on Trader Joe\u2019s more affordable option! \ud83d\ude0f<\/p>\n
