With this new platform, &#8220;We&#8217;re activating a new group of retail investors,&#8221; said Mike Jarmuz, CEO of Thunder Funder.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p>                        <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/.image\/c_fit%2Ch_800%2Cw_1200\/MjA4MjYxMTI0ODYzMzA1MTU3\/unnamed-3.jpg\" height=\"800\" width=\"1067\"><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The founding team comprises CTO Uncle Rockstar, an early contributor to <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/tags\/btcpayserver\">BTCPay Server,<\/a> and COO Vivek Patel, who previously worked at PrimeTrust.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/tags\/max-keiser\">Max Keiser<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/tags\/swan-bitcoin\">Swan Bitcoin<\/a> CEO Cory Klippsten&#8217;s El Zonte Capital invested in the Lightning Ventures $500,000 pre-seed round to launch the platform alongside Brad Mills and Chris Hunter.<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderfunder.com\/\">Thunder Funder<\/a>, regular investors can now directly fund innovative Bitcoin projects that were previously only accessible to accredited and institutional investors.
