Sam Asghari<\/strong><\/a> has nothing but the \u201cbest\u201d wishes for his ex-wife, Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a>. During a new interview, the 30-year-old actor reflected on his past marriage<\/a> to the \u201cToxic\u201d hitmaker, 42, calling her an \u201camazing person.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou learn so much from being in relationships in general,\u201d he told E! News<\/em> <\/a>in an interview published on Wednesday, July 31. \u201cI appreciate all the amazing experiences that I got.\u201d<\/p>\n Sam added that being in a serious relationship as his and Britney\u2019s \u201cgrows you as a person\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m always going to celebrate the past and learn about the past, and move on to the future,\u201d he said, adding that his former relationship and marriage to Britney is\u00a0\u201csomething that\u2019s always going to be a part of me.\u201d<\/p>\n Since the Jackpot!<\/em> star is focusing on his career, he isn\u2019t back in the dating pool yet.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to take some time for me, as it does with everyone that goes through a breakup,\u201d Sam pointed out, joking that the only one he\u2019s dating \u201cat the moment\u201d is his dog, who is \u201chigh maintenance.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Britney, though, Sam added, \u201cI wish her the best. She\u2019s an amazing person and a huge part of my life, and I always appreciate the moments we had together.\u201d<\/p>\n The former couple were together for several years before their divorce. They first met in 2016 on the set of her \u201cSlumber Party\u201d music video. Nearly six years later, they tied the knot in June 2022. However, they separated by July 2023, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason behind their divorce. The exes will be declared legally single on December 2, 2024, according to multiple outlets.<\/p>\n
