Billionaire mogul Elon Musk has accepted Venezuela\u2019s disputed President Nicolas Maduro<\/a>\u2019s invitation to fight him on national TV.<\/p>\n The recently reelected politician<\/a>, who faces accusations of fixing<\/a> the election, pelted the challenge at Musk on Monday in a speech full of fury, calling the Tesla CEO his \u201carchenemy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cSocial media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,\u201d Maduro said. \u201cDo you want to fight? Let\u2019s do it. Elon Musk, I\u2019m ready. I\u2019m not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let\u2019s fight, wherever you want.\u201d<\/p>\n Maduro\u2019s comments quickly went viral, with several X accounts tagging Musk in the clip and asking if he would rise to Maduro\u2019s challenge. In response to one of the tweets, Musk replied<\/a>, \u201cI accept.\u201d<\/p>\n The billionaire later added<\/a> that Maduro would \u201cchicken out\u201d of the fight.\u00a0<\/p>\n Musk drew<\/a> Maduro\u2019s ire after condemning his re-election results, accusing him<\/a> of \u201cmajor election fraud,\u201d and labeling him a \u201cdictator\u201d on X.\u00a0<\/p>\n Maduro secured 51% of the vote in Venezuela\u2019s elections, according to the National Electoral Council. Opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez received 44% of the votes, the council said, though pre-election polls showed him leading by a wide-margin. The results have been disputed by the opposition, which has called on the military to intervene<\/a>.<\/p>\n Musk has previously accepted high-profile fights. He became ambivalent about<\/a> a cage match<\/a> with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg after weeks of flirting with the idea.
