After announcing in the Summer House<\/em> Season 8 reunion about plans to open \u201ca cafe and bar that only serves non-alcoholic drinks,\u201d Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> has officially made it happen with Soft Bar + Cafe.<\/p>\n However, fans quickly started to speculate and comment that he had deviously come up with the name of his new enterprise with one ex-fianc\u00e9e very much in mind. Once Radke introduced the bar on Instagram Monday, fans began to accuse him of mocking Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong><\/a>\u2014his ex-fianc\u00e9e\u2014whom he asked to act \u201csofter\u201d toward him before their split last year.<\/p>\n \u201cAsking Lindsay to be softer to him and opening up a bar named Soft. Diabolical honestly,\u201d one fan reacted on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n Several fans shared similar sentiments on TikTok, with one writing, \u201cThe bar is a good idea but he\u2019s a d**kwad for calling it Soft.\u201d<\/p>\n Another person added, \u201cSoft was her trigger word \ud83d\ude33.\u201d<\/p>\n In his defense, the 39-year-old said that the rumors are not true because his inspiration for the moniker came from his European travels. In a statement to Page Six<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, the reality star said that in Europe he came across several bars that called non-alcoholic drinks \u201csoft cocktails\u201d or \u201csofts.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhile \u2018Soft drinks\u2019 is a term used in the US, it has a different connotation, typically representing soda,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to define a new\u2014and much needed\u2014category and space, having \u2018soft drinks\u2019 or \u2018softs\u2019 be seen as functional and high-quality non-alcoholic beverages for adults.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravolebrity continued, \u201cI was sharing this thought during a conversation with my co-founder as we discussed raising the bar in the non-alcoholic space, ultimately leading us to the name \u2018Soft Bar.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
