In early July, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a treatment called donanemab for people with early-stage Alzheimer\u2019s disease. It\u00a0is the second drug shown to slow\u00a0the condition\u2019s progression, and the third FDA-authorised medication that clears the amyloid proteins that accumulate in the brains of people with Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The FDA\u2019s approval of three new drugs \u2013 donanemab, lecanemab and aducanumab \u2013 in just over three years has led some to declare a leap forward in Alzheimer\u2019s disease treatment<\/a>. Japan, South Korea, China,\u2026<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
