UPDATE, Tuesday, July 30:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lady Gaga<\/strong><\/a> and Michael Polansky<\/strong><\/a> reportedly got engaged \u201cseveral months\u201d before the betrothal news was announced through a TikTok at the 2024 Paris Olympics.<\/p>\n

According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>, by the time Gaga was celebrating her 38th birthday\u2014her birthday is March 28\u2014with friends and family, her partner had already popped the question.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe couple shared the happy news with family and close friends right away but wanted to keep the engagement private otherwise,\u201d the source shared while mentioning that the \u2018Bad Romance\u2019 singer decided not to wear her engagement ring to the birthday dinner party as she didn\u2019t want to be photographed with it yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone\u2019s excited about them getting married,\u201d the source continued, noting that the Grammy and Oscar winner is \u201cthe happiest with Michael.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re great together. He\u2019s excited and supportive of her career. He can\u2019t stand being in the spotlight, but he lets her shine. He has his own business priorities that she\u2019s supportive of,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

In addition to the news that Gaga and Polansky are preparing for their big day, the source shared that they also would \u201clove to have a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in 2021, a source told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> that the couple didn\u2019t want to rush to take their relationship to the next level and weren\u2019t \u201ctalking about engagement or marriage yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The superstar reportedly told friends \u201cthat she wants to get through a few projects and then focus on settling down\u201d but she does want \u201cto have children one day and sees a future with Michael.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer also opened up to InStyle<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in May 2020 about her desire to be a mother. \u201cI will say I am very excited to have kids,\u201d Gaga told the magazine. \u201cI look forward to being a mom. Isn\u2019t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it\u2019s our job to keep it alive.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Lady Gaga was enjoying some Olympic events, she could be heard introducing her partner to the French politician, and she called him \u201cmy fiance.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the clip, Gabriel was introducing himself to the \u201cBorn This Way\u201d singer, when she turned to Michael and explained who he was in relation to her. She could be heard saying \u201cMy fiance\u201d as she spoke to the PM in the short video. Engagement rumors began months before Lady Gaga\u2019s fabulous performance during the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics. Fans began to speculate that the tech entrepreneur had popped the question when the singer was spotted out with a huge diamond ring<\/a> on that finger in West Hollywood back in April. Besides the TikTok video, the \u201cShallow\u201d popstar has not publicly commented on her engagement to Michael.<\/p>\n

Lady Gaga has been dating the Parker Group CEO since early 2020. The pair have mostly kept private throughout their romance, but Michael has accompanied his now-fiance to plenty of major events throughout the course of their relationship, including President Joe Biden\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>inauguration in 2021. In October 2023, they were seen out at\u00a0Katy Perry\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>Play\u00a0<\/em>Las Vegas residency.<\/p>\n
