Well, in limited form, anyway. The developer betas for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/how-to-install-the-macos-sequoia-public-beta-202948376.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:macOS Sequoia;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">macOS Sequoia<\/a> 15.1 just dropped, and they include some of the first <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/apple-intelligence-what-devices-and-features-will-actually-be-supported-185850732.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Apple Intelligence;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Apple Intelligence<\/a> features available to a broader, public group of testers. To be clear, this isn&#8217;t the full release that was <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/apple-intelligence-reportedly-may-not-arrive-until-october-with-ios-181-213406695.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:rumored to be delayed till October;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">rumored to be delayed till October<\/a>. These updates are part of an early preview for developers to test.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"caas-jump-link-heading\" id=\"how-to-get-the-new-apple-intelligence-features\">How to get the new Apple Intelligence features<\/h2>\n<p>Starting today, those with Apple developer accounts will be able to update their software and go into their settings to see a new option for Apple Intelligence. There, you&#8217;ll have to join a waitlist, though it shouldn&#8217;t take longer than a few hours for you to gain access to the new features.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note that you have to have either an <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/iphone-15-pro-max-review-apple-makes-a-strong-case-for-its-biggest-phone-130018980.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max<\/a> to use the new Apple Intelligence features in the iOS 18.1 developer beta, or an iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or newer for the iPadOS 18.1 preview. You&#8217;ll also be running software that might be unstable or buggy, so be sure to back up your device before installing the developer beta.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"caas-jump-link-heading\" id=\"what-apple-intelligence-features-are-available-now\">What Apple Intelligence features are available now?<\/h2>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve been granted access, Apple will deliver a notification to your device. The new stuff you&#8217;ll be able to play with in this version of the beta include writing tools for proofreading, rewriting or summarizing text. You&#8217;ll also gain the ability to create Memories in <a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/how-apple-redesigned-its-photos-app-around-customization-120038901.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:the redesigned Photos app;cpos:6;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the redesigned Photos app<\/a>, as well as some of the updated Siri, including typing to the assistant and it being able to understand if you&#8217;ve stuttered.<\/p>\n<p>Features that aren&#8217;t yet available are Genmoji, ChatGPT integration and the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/apples-new-ai-powered-siri-can-use-apps-for-you-184116016.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:personal context and in-app actions for Siri;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">personal context and in-app actions for Siri<\/a>.
