But after Bryan Randall<\/strong><\/a>\u2014Sandra Bullock<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s romantic partner since 2015\u2014died at 57<\/a> following a three-year battle with ALS<\/a>, the feeling of celebrating any milestone in life can be quite complex with feelings of grief<\/a>. Despite that, a source revealed that Bullock is \u201cdoing okay\u201d because of the support of her friends and family.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s doing okay now. Her kids are amazing. She\u2019s very happy to be a mom,\u201d a source close to Bullock\u2019s friend Jennifer Aniston<\/strong><\/a>, 55, told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHer friends gave her the support that she needed both during his illness and afterwards. She is grateful for all the love,\u201d the source added. \u201cEveryone helped to lift her up after Bryan passed.\u201d<\/p>\n About two years before the tragic news, the actress had announced she needed \u201cto take a pause\u201d<\/a> from her career to spend quality time with her family, including her two children, Louis<\/strong><\/a>, 14, and Laila<\/strong><\/a>, 11.<\/p>\n Bullock\u2019s most recent starring roles were in the 2022 films Bullet Train<\/em> and The Lost City<\/em>, for which she also served as a producer. In an interview in 2022, she said that she knew during the production of The Lost City<\/em> that it would be her last movie for a while.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know what \u2018a while\u2019 is,\u201d she told CBS News<\/a>. \u201cI would just love to clean out the basement,\u201d she explained, admitting that she wanted to spend time at home.<\/p>\n Since then, she has yet to make an appearance on the big screen\u2014though Bullock has recently indicated that she plans to return soon. While marking the 30th anniversary of her film Speed<\/em> with Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a> in May, Bullock appeared with her co-star on the 50 MPH<\/em> podcast, where the pair teased another joint film down the line.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBefore I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,\u201d Bullock said when the podcast\u2019s host suggested that they lobby for a third Speed<\/em> movie. \u201cAre we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Maybe.\u201d<\/p>\n When talking about the success of the 1994 blockbuster, which earned $350 million at the box office, she responded, \u201cIt was unexpected.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd the fact that it continues to, in an unexpected way, still strike up conversation amongst many different generations, makes you feel really good. Nostalgic in a very sort of bittersweet way.
