But this wasn\u2019t the first time that the multi-talented singer and actress has spoken the language. So, how did the pop star learn how to speak French?<\/p>\n<h2>Is Lady Gaga French?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-3\">Gaga \u2014 real name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta \u2014 is American and was born into an Italian-American family in New York City.<\/p>\n<h2>Did Lady Gaga Study French?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-4\">In high school, Gaga was accepted into New York University\u2019s music school Collaborative Arts Project 21, where she studied music. She also focused on topics such as politics, social issues and religion while honing her songwriting skills. In <em>A Star Is Born<\/em>, The New York City native sang \u201cLa Vie en Rose\u201d at the beginning of the film, where <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/celeb\/bradley-cooper\/\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"><strong>Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s character first meets her.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-6\">While she attended high school at the all-girls Convent of the Scared Heart in New York City, Gaga learned French, she previously told Stephen Colbert.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-7\">The \u201cLove Game\u201d artist also took to X following her Olympic performance, writing, \u201cAlthough I am not a French artist, I have always felt a very special connection with French people and singing French music\u2014I wanted nothing more than to create a performance that would warm the heart of France, celebrate French art and music, and on such a momentous occasion remind everyone of one of the most magical cities on earth\u2014Paris.
