Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a> just made history, but not only for her campaign. The 59-year-old became the first sitting vice president to appear on RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race All Stars 9<\/em>, where she took the time to encourage viewers to vote.<\/p>\n \u201cHi everyone, it\u2019s Kamala Harris,\u201d she said after entering the Werk Room during the finale episode, which will air on Friday, July 26. \u201cEach day, we\u2019re seeing our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right of everyone to be who they are, love who they love \u2014 openly and with pride.\u201d<\/p>\n As fans will soon see, sitting alongside Kamala were judge Michelle Visage<\/strong>, NSYNC member Lance Bass<\/strong>, actor Cheyenne Jackson<\/strong>, Drag Race<\/em> choreographer Jamal Sims<\/strong> and actress Leslie Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n You better VOTE! \ud83d\udde3\ufe0f <\/p>\n Vice President Kamala Harris dropped by the Werk Room with a word! \u2764\ufe0f pic.twitter.com\/KGS6pU2zOq<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 RuPaul’s Drag Race (@RuPaulsDragRace) July 25, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Kamala continued, \u201cSo, as we fight back against these attacks, let\u2019s all remember, no one is alone. We\u2019re all in this together, and your vote is your power.\u201d The former prosecutor then told viewers to register to vote in this year\u2019s upcoming election. Cheyenne then asked, \u201cCan I get an Amen?\u201d while Leslie turned the camera to say, \u201cYou better vote!\u201d<\/p>\n The presumptive Democratic nominee\u2019s appearance on the TV show comes amid her campaign, which officially kicked off earlier this week. Shortly after President Joe Biden<\/strong> <\/a>announced he was stepping down from the possibility of re-election, he endorsed his VP, and she quickly raised more than $80 million of donations. Multiple members of Kamala\u2019s party and celebrities also promptly endorsed her.<\/p>\n Additionally, Kamala released her first campaign ad<\/a>, which was synced to Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018<\/a>s song \u201cFreedom.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIn this election, we each face a question: What kind of country do we want to live in?\u201d Kamala asks in the advertisement. \u201cThere are some people who think we should be a country of chaos, of fear of hate. But us? We choose something different: freedom. The freedom not just to get by but get ahead. The freedom to be safe from gun violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body. We choose a future where no child lives in poverty; where we can all afford healthcare; where no one is above the law.\u201d<\/p>\n The politician concludes the promo by saying, \u201cWe believe in the promise of America, and we\u2019re ready to fight for it.
