This is our 3,000th Vital Vegas blog post. We were going to write a story about our incredible accomplishment, then realized even we don\u2019t care all that much, so let\u2019s talk about something important: Pizza.<\/p>\n

The Las Vegas Strip should have lots of great pizza, but it does not. Downtown has it all. (Pizza Rock at Downtown Grand, Pop Up Pizza at Plaza, Whiskey Licker Up at Binion\u2019s, Project BBQ at Circa, Evel Pie on Fremont Street, for starters.)<\/p>\n

We are here to help. Here are our picks for the best and worst pizza on The Strip.<\/p>\n

Happy Camper has entered the chat.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Let\u2019s start with the best pizza to build some suspense for the pizza we would not feed to a starving piranha because it would be animal cruelty.<\/p>\n

The best pizza on the Las Vegas Strip is Superfrico at the Cosmopolitan. No, it\u2019s not \u201cSecret Pizza.\u201d That\u2019s on our list of \u201cMost Overrated Pizza on The Strip.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pizza at Superfrico is square-shaped and pan-style, with a crispy edge of crunchy cheese.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not burned, it\u2019s been pressed between the searing thighs of Aphrodite. Or something.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The \u201cfrico\u201d in Superfrico actually comes from a traditional Friulian cheese dish featuring pan-fried cheese. The nation of Friulia should be very proud of itself.<\/p>\n

To be honest, we didn\u2019t start out thinking we were going to talk about Superfrico\u2019s pizza. We were going to say Happy Camper has the best pizza, but that\u2019s mainly because it\u2019s the most recent best pizza we\u2019ve had on The Strip.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s more about Superfrico at Cosmo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Happy Camper, at Fashion Show Mall, hasn\u2019t gotten nearly as much buzz as it should.<\/p>\n

You\u2019d probably walk right by. We recommend you not do that.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This bar and restaurant took over the former Stripburger space at the mall across from Wynn Las Vegas, and we found it awesome. Of course, we were the first to share<\/a> Happy Camper was coming, that\u2019s just how things work in Las Vegas. Oh, look we sort of ended up writing a story about our accomplishments, anyway. Shocker.<\/p>\n

The vibe at Happy Camper is lively, the decor is magical (featuring hundreds of disco balls) and the staff was universally helpful and friendly.<\/p>\n

The chairs are more comfortable at the bar.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Here are the aforementioned balls.<\/p>\n

Each disco ball has 841 mirrors. Look, somebody\u2019s going to Google that question, so we\u2019re making up an answer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The pizza was outstanding, leap-frogging over many longstanding but forgettable pizzas on The Strip.<\/p>\n

Ignore urologists, this is the real cause of nocturnal emissions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

People were loving the cocktails as well, including one featuring a flamingo.<\/p>\n

The Pink Flamingo has Espolon Blanco tequila, Pama pomegranate liqueur, lime, soda and jalapeno.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We are not a shopping person, but we are definitely visiting Fashion Show more often now that Happy Camper is serving up such exceptional pizza.<\/p>\n

Yes, there are menu items other than pizza. Human bodies have things other than vaginas. \u2018Nuff said.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Now, for the worst pizza on The Strip.<\/p>\n

That distinction goes to Parry\u2019s Pizzeria & Taphouse at the base of Waldorf Astoria.<\/p>\n

Whataburger\u2019s on the first floor, Parry\u2019s is on the second. You can order Whataburger at Parry\u2019s. You should probably do that.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Parry\u2019s opened on February 7, 2024, and there\u2019s a reason you haven\u2019t heard anything about it. Limp, soggy, flavorless.<\/p>\n

Pizza is highly subjective, but honestly, we would rather chew on Zach Galifianakis\u2019 jock strap after he\u2019s just played two hours of pickleball.<\/p>\n

The only thing that\u2019s resulted in more disappointment than Parry\u2019s Pizza is sex with us.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You know the pizza at Parry\u2019s is bad if we think it\u2019s worse than Giordano\u2019s, a culinary calamity believed to be the way the gods are punishing Mankind for inventing country music. It\u2019s worse.<\/p>\n

Parry\u2019s is the sister restaurant of Whataburger, which explains a lot. Parry\u2019s is the Whataburger of pizza.<\/p>\n

Our advice: Just start over.<\/p>\n

Variations on a theme. The theme: Meh.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We can only imagine the meetings Parry\u2019s management is having about why they aren\u2019t doing great business: \u201cIt\u2019s the BLVD mall construction across the street!\u201d \u201cWhataburger is getting all the attention!\u201d \u201cThe bartenders aren\u2019t showing enough cleavage!\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s F1!\u201d<\/p>\n

They are probably right about the F1 thing, but mostly it\u2019s the terrible pizza.<\/p>\n

Just start over.<\/p>\n

Parry\u2019s does have a saving grace, however. They serve up a mountain of fried dough slathered in powdered sugar.<\/p>\n

They should call it Parry\u2019s Fried Dough and Whatever Else.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Runner up for worst pizza on the Las Vegas Strip: Pizzaoki in the Proper Eats food court at Aria.<\/p>\n

Worst pizza off-Strip, Prince Street Pizza at Durango casino.<\/p>\n
