Vice President\u00a0Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 stepdaughter\u00a0Ella Emhoff<\/strong> <\/a>showed support for her \u201cMomala\u201d as she shared\u00a0Charli XCX\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>post on X (formerly Twitter) showing support for her presidential run. In a since-expired Instagram Story, Ella, 25, shouted out the popstar for her apparent endorsement of her stepmom\u2019s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

Shortly after it was announced that Harris would be running for the Oval Office, after President\u00a0Joe Biden\u00a0<\/strong>stepped out of the race, Charli tweeted, \u201ckamala IS brat.\u201d The tweet is a reference to her latest album, also called\u00a0brat.<\/em> With the record\u2019s release, tons of people have embraced the album\u2019s ideas and aesthetic, calling Summer 2024 \u201cBrat Summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emhoff posted a screenshot of the popstar\u2019s tweet, and she simply wrote, \u201c@charli_xcx gets it,\u201d per\u00a0<\/a>Page Six<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>Emhoff studied fine arts at New York City\u2019s Parsons School of Design, and she\u2019s been signed to the modeling agency IMG Models since January 2021. It seems safe to say that she\u2019s in the main demographic for young people who have been showing love for\u00a0brat.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Charli was one of the biggest celebrities showing support for Harris after she announced her intentions to jump into the presidential race. Emhoff has also tried to drum up support for her stepmom on her social media. She tried to get followers to register to vote in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 24. \u201cYou already know what time it is. This is not the time to sit back and defer the responsibility. This is on all of us to show up, take action and vote for our future. We can be the change we want to see,\u201d she wrote, while sharing a link to register.<\/p>\n

Emhoff is the younger of Harris\u2019 two stepkids. Her husband\u00a0Douglas Emhoff\u00a0<\/strong>was an entertainment lawyer prior to becoming second gentleman, but before meeting the vice president, he was married to producer\u00a0Kerstin Emhoff<\/strong>. The exes also have an older son,\u00a0Cole<\/strong>. They split in 2008, and Douglas married Harris in 2014. The VP\u2019s stepkids have revealed that they call their stepmom \u201cMomala.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
