Returning champions and new contenders will vie for the top spot.<\/p>\n<p>Evo 2024 has grown from last year\u2019s event, with a record-breaking 10,000 registrants for the competition. An anticipated 50,000 attendees from 63 countries will attend the celebration of brawlers.<\/p>\n<p>Games like Mortal Kombat, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/tekken-waffle-house-fight-stage-katsuhiro-harada\/\">Tekken<\/a>, Guilty Gear, and Street Fighter all have the world\u2019s strongest players making their mark.<\/p>\n<p>The event has eight games and tournaments for this year, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Street Fighter 6<\/li>\n<li>Tekken 8<\/li>\n<li>Mortal Kombat 1<\/li>\n<li>The King Of Fighters XV<\/li>\n<li>Guilty Gear -Strive-<\/li>\n<li>Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising<\/li>\n<li>Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike<\/li>\n<li>Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Evo 2024 kick-off weekend<\/h2>\n<p>Sony launched this year\u2019s run-up to the event, dropping a teaser trailer of the games on show:<\/p>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Evo Las Vegas 2024 | PlayStation Esports\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VkTr4LDWTbk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>On the show floor, Sony will bring back a few booths and experiences from last year. They include the Free Play Arcade, Arcade Stick Museum, Cosplay Competition, and will offer new demos of anticipated <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/dota-2-sleet-fighter-how-to-play-where-is-it-characters-gameplay\/\">fighting games<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fans will get a look at some of this and next year\u2019s anticipated beat-em-ups such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2XKO, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves<\/li>\n<li>Rivals 2<\/li>\n<li>Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics<\/li>\n<li>Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics<\/li>\n<li>HunterxHunter NenxImpact<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PlayStation\u2019s booth will showcase the new <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/astro-bot-vip-bots\/\">Astro Bot<\/a> game, which has fans excited about this generation\u2019s installation of the loved platform character. The booth will also set up a time trial arcade for <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/fanatec-launches-the-ultimate-gran-turismo-wheel-but-youll-need-deep-pockets\/\">Gran Turismo 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The PlayStation Store\u2019s Summer Sale will debut time-sensitive fighting game offers during Evo 2024.
