According to a new report, the 49-year-old actress and the 60-year-old actor\u2019s legal issues have \u201cdragged on\u201d because of \u201call the bitterness\u201d between them.<\/p>\n \u201cAll the bitterness is partly why the divorce has dragged on for so many years. Neither will let it go,\u201d a source told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> on Friday, July 19, adding that the couple\u2019s romance \u201cturned nasty and it was not a good situation for anyone. \u2026 You\u2019d think they would be over it and just settle.\u201d<\/p>\n The insider added that Brad and Angelina\u2019s \u201cdisagreements took over\u201d in their marriage, while a separate source clarified to the publication that their \u201cdifferences added up over time.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really sad for the children, but also the parents,\u201d the second insider told the outlet. \u201cDivorce, especially one so high-profile, can be challenging for the whole family.\u201d<\/p>\n Nevertheless, the parents \u2014 who share kids Maddox<\/strong>, Pax<\/strong>, Zahara<\/strong>, Shiloh<\/strong>, Knox<\/strong> and Vivienne<\/strong><\/a> together \u2014 \u201cboth care about the children,\u201d the second insider said.<\/p>\n The Once Upon a Time \u2026 in Hollywood<\/em> actor and the Eternals<\/em> actress started dating in 2004. After nearly 10 years together, the then-couple tied the knot at their French winery, the Chateau Miraval, in 2014. However, two years later, the pair split as Angie filed for divorce from Brad.<\/p>\n In 2019, the former spouses were declared legally single, but their legal battle has been dragging on since then. The two have been disputing their assets. But the most controversial topic about Angelina and Brad was the abuse she accused him of. According to court documents obtained by Hollywood Life<\/strong> in 2022, Angelina accused Brad of physically assaulting her on a plane in 2016. Additionally, Angelina claimed that Brad \u201cchoked one of his children and struck another\u201d on that flight.<\/p>\n For his part, Brad has vehemently denied the abuse allegations<\/a>. Neither he nor Angelina has publicly addressed the situation.
