Bella Thomson<\/strong>\u2014known to her online community as Bella Brave<\/strong>\u2014has died at the age of 10.<\/p>\n \u201cOur brave girl left her legacy here on earth to dance on streets of gold on July 14th, 2024, at 4:19 p.m. ET,\u201d her mom, Kyla Thomson<\/strong>, wrote on Instagram on July 15.<\/p>\n \u201cBella passed peacefully in our arms,\u201d she continued. \u201cPlease keep her name on your lips, her memories alive, and her bravery in your hearts. Please share with us every detail of how she touched your life or kept you brave.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBella would want you to remember: God is love, be brave, and you are never too old to bring a stuffy. \ud83e\uddf8 #bellabrave,\u201d the message concluded.<\/p>\n Bella\u2019s death came just days after the 10-year-old was placed in a medically induced coma following complications from a viral infection in her lungs.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are, of course, gutted for Bella. Her bowel transplant last August was supposed to be the last medical trauma she would ever have to endure,\u201d Kyla said. \u201cWe are not out of the woods.\u201d<\/p>\n Then, in a clip<\/a> posted on social media on July 11, Kyla said in an update that Bella remained \u201cstable with no improvement\u201d as she was kept at Toronto\u2019s SickKids hospital.<\/p>\n Over the years, Bella went viral on social media after showcasing her bright-spirited personality as her parents, Kyla and Lyle<\/strong>, documented her life-threatening health challenges. Bella battled the rare bowel illness Hirschsprung\u2019s disease, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, \u201cis a condition that affects the large intestine (colon) and causes problems with passing stool,\u201d as well as severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), among other health problems.<\/p>\n After Kyla shared that Bella had been placed in a medically induced coma due to a \u201crapid fibrosis-like deterioration\u201d of the child\u2019s lungs, she continued to update fans who were closely following along and praying for a successful recovery.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s sedated, intubated in a medically induced coma, and I am not losing my hope,\u201d she said in a July 14 video <\/a> before Bella passed. \u201cI don\u2019t know which way things are going to go. We still need your prayer and all the love. I will try to update as best I can. For now, she is still with us and she is still fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n Bella\u2014who was also\u00a0sister to 5-year-old brother\u00a0Waylon<\/strong>\u2014spent hundreds of days in the hospital and underwent about 30 surgeries. As her mom shared the child\u2019s story, the duo captured the hearts of more than seven million followers on TikTok and Bella met stars like\u00a0Halsey<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Katharine McPhee<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0David Foster<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cBella is like, \u2018Let\u2019s do it!
