Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention has sparked social media conversations, but not about his nomination. According to a new social media video<\/a> that\u2019s been circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Republican nominee appeared to have closed his eyes, and many believe he fell asleep for a moment.<\/p>\n

Did Trump Fall Asleep at the 2024 RNC?<\/h2>\n

Although the video shows that Trump\u2019s eyes were closed, multiple commenters pointed out that the clip was captured during a prayer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was during the prayer,\u201d one person tweeted. \u201cNotice how the next speaker was the one after the priest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others, however, came to his defense and noted that he had been struck by a bullet two days prior. Trump\u2019s ear was grazed by a bullet shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks<\/strong><\/a>. Two other people were injured, and one person was fatally shot at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe man lost part of his ear only 48 hours ago. Imagine the trauma,\u201d one person tweeted, while another added, \u201cDude got shot two days ago, doubt he\u2019s slept.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other commenters even called Trump \u201cSleepy Don,\u201d as a reference to what President Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s critics called him: \u201cSleepy Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Happened at the 2024 RNC?<\/h2>\n

Multiple speakers showed their support for Trump as the republican nominee for this year\u2019s presidential election. Multiple family members of Trump\u2019s inner circle spoke, including his sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr., and Lara Trump.<\/p>\n

Additionally, several celebrities were invited to speak at the convention, including Savannah Chrisley<\/strong>, Amber Rose, Tucker Carlson <\/strong>and Lee Greenwood. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who Is Trump\u2019s 2024 Vice President?<\/h2>\n

At the RNC, Trump revealed his selection for vice president: Senator J.D. Vance. The Republican senator from Ohio accepted the nomination at the convention. Many were surprised by Trump\u2019s choice, as Vance was previously a critic of the politician.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
