Though encouraging female empowerment in her new single \u201cWoman\u2019s World,\u201d Katy Perry\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> fans are already criticizing the song due to the 39-year-old choosing a Dr. Luke<\/a> <\/strong>\u2013 Kesha\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> former producer who she was in a legal battle with \u2013 to bring the music video to life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>It was co-written by six people, four of whom are men. It\u2019s produced by three men, one of whom is Dr Luke, who was accused of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse by Kesha. The video is also directed by a man. LOL,\u201d one user commented on the singer\u2019s post on X.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Despite having teased the single for a couple of weeks now, this \u2018California Girl\u2019 released the song on Thursday, July 11 \u2014 with the music video that premiered on Friday, July 12.<\/span><\/p>\n
