Joe Alwyn<\/strong> <\/a>was one of the major celebs attending Wimbledon<\/a>, and he was spotted standing next to model and television personality Alexa Chung<\/strong>. On Wednesday, July 10, the two were photographed handing each other drinks and smiling while watching the tournament, but it\u2019s unclear whether or not they attended the event as friends or if they were on a date.<\/p>\n

Swifties, of course, are speculating over the friendly outing since the 33-year-old actor split from Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> in mid-2023. The former couple were together for six years until they broke up at the start of Taylor\u2019s Eras Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Since Joe and Taylor, 34, kept many details about their romance away from the public eye, it\u2019s unclear what led to their breakup<\/a>. However, fans think the pop singer dropped hints about it in her album The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Last month, Joe broke his silence about his and Taylor\u2019s split during an interview with The Sunday Times<\/a>, <\/em>opening up about the overwhelming publicity he was under after the news of their split broke.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,\u201d Joe told the publication in June. \u201cThat is a hard thing to navigate.\u201d<\/p>\n

While pointing out that \u201csomething very real\u201d between them was \u201csuddenly thrown into a very unreal space: tabloids, social media, press,\u201d Joe recalled how his and Taylor\u2019s past romance was \u201cdissected, speculated on [and] pulled out of shape beyond recognition.\u201d However, now that he\u2019s in \u201ca really great place in [his] life, professionally and personally,\u201d Joe was adamant on not spilling too much about his past with Taylor.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the truth is, to that last point, there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said,\u201d the Mary Queen of Scots<\/em> star said, before pointing out, \u201cI have made my peace with that. \u2026 I\u2019m sure you can appreciate, given the level of noise and scrutiny about my past relationship, why I wouldn\u2019t want to just open the door to things like that right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toward the end of his interview, Joe acknowledged, \u201cAs everyone knows, we together \u2014 both of us, mutually \u2014 decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private,\u201d and added that he saw \u201cno reason to change that now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
