Alexandra Daddario<\/strong><\/a> is going to be a mom! The 38-year-old actress revealed during a new interview that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Andrew Form<\/strong> \u2014 and she went through great lengths to hide her pregnancy for a while.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was on set, and I was throwing up and having make-out scenes with my co-stars right after,\u201d she told Vogue<\/em><\/a> in an interview that was published on Wednesday, July 10. \u201cBy week five, I was like, \u2018There\u2019s no way I\u2019m going to be able to hide this.’\u201d<\/p>\n

On the flip side, Alexandra recalled thinking, \u201cIf I tell my job that I\u2019m pregnant, I\u2019m going to get a lot of time off to go throw up in peace.\u201d However, that didn\u2019t work out, she clarified. \u00a0\u201cI have wonderful co-stars who have kids, and everyone was very understanding about making out with a nauseous, vomiting girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

When she was experiencing morning sickness, the San Andreas<\/em> star was working on the set of AMC\u2019s Mayfair Witches<\/em>. Although her eventual announcement was a happy one, Alexandra revealed that she had a \u201closs\u201d in her past. \u201cWell, I had been pregnant [before],\u201d she said without going into further detail.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s long and complicated, so I don\u2019t want to be too specific,\u201d she explained. \u201cThose kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you\u2019ve been through them. I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn\u2019t understand fully before. It\u2019s very, very painful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since she\u2019s experienced trauma, Alexandra noted that it \u201cwas actually quite hard to process\u201d that she got pregnant again.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have a lot of complicated feelings,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the White Lotus<\/em> alum had a distraction: her job. \u201cWork was both a stressor and a savior,\u201d she acknowledged. \u201cI was so overwhelmed with work. Part of me was like, \u2018This is the worst thing ever.\u2019 Then part of me was like, \u2018This is actually a great distraction.\u2019 Because I\u2019m not sitting there all day long in my house going, \u2018If I pick up this pot to make pasta, is something bad going to happen? If I eat this pasta, is something bad going to happen?’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
