A new seafood restaurant is in the works for Wynn Las Vegas in early 2025, Fiola Mare.<\/p>\n
The new restaurant will replace Lakeside restaurant. Lakeside will permanently close in mid-July.<\/p>\n Lakeside Grill<\/a> opened in 2010, overlooking the hotel\u2019s Lake of Dreams. Prior to that, it was Daniel Boulud Brasserie.<\/p>\n Lakeside\u2019s replacement, Fiola Mare, is a Mediterranean seafood restaurant from chef and restaurateur Fabio Trabocchi.<\/p>\n Trabocchi has an impressive track record, and created a number of award-winning restaurants<\/a> in the mid-Atlantic and South Florida areas, including one he\u2019s about to open on a flipping superyacht.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s more about the restaurant from the official announcement: \u201cLike its sister restaurant of the same name in Washington, D.C., the Las Vegas location will feature a raw bar at the entrance of the restaurant, as well as impressive seafood towers, an array of tableside services, and elegantly-grilled seafood entrees. The menu will highlight fresh seafood prepared with simplicity through delicate and subtle additions of color, flavor, and texture. Guests will also be able to make selections from The Carrello del Pesce\u2014a seafood cart\u2014that will offer multiple daily catch options.\u201d<\/p>\n We are not personally a seafood person, but we understand many people are.<\/p>\n Can we please stop eating octopuses, though? How many animals can manipulate their chromatophores to blend in with their surroundings? Exactly. An octopus could be sitting next to you right now and you wouldn\u2019t know it. Stop eating them. Let\u2019s extend this to any creature with suction cups.<\/p>\n Oh, we forgot to share what Wynn says about the interior design of Fiola Mare: \u201cAs for the restaurant\u2019s design, Fiola Mare will celebrate the abundance of the sea, with opulent finishes and bespoke maritime-inspired design elements. New custom furnishings, influenced by classic French and Italian designs from the 1940s and 1950s, enhance the dynamic floor plan which will maximize views of the Lake of Dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n We used that description as a prompt to let A.I. take a stab at it, mostly because we know Wynn\u2019s President & Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design & Development, Todd-Avery Lenahan, sometimes looks at our blog and he\u2019ll spit up his cocktail seeing how not terrible it is given it took two minutes to generate this rendering.
