Paul Mescal<\/strong><\/a>, a long-time fan of Ridley Scott<\/strong><\/a>, is now teased on a poster and in a trailer preparing for battle in the director\u2019s sequel Gladiator II<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Monday, the first poster teasing a bloody battle was released to fans. Today, the first trailer<\/a> has been released, showcasing the fierce battle between Mescal, 28, and Pascal, 49, playing Lucius and General Marcus Acacius respectively. So the question remains\u2014Are you not entertained?! Because we are.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Alongside Mescal, the movie stars actors Pedro Pascal<\/strong><\/a>, Denzel Washington<\/strong><\/a>, Joseph Quinn<\/strong><\/a>, and Connie Nielsen<\/strong><\/a>, who is reprising her role from the original.\u00a0The film is director Scott\u2019s follow-up to his 2000 epic Gladiator<\/em> which starred\u00a0Russell Crowe<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Joaquin Phoenix<\/strong> <\/a>and collected five Oscars, including best picture.<\/p>\n And for the\u00a0All of Us Strangers\u00a0<\/em>actor, while speaking with ET\u00a0<\/em><\/a>he spoke about how important it is to him to be able to continue the legacy of Ridley Scott\u2019s highly regarded film.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s an immense honor \u2014 it\u2019s not lost on me,\u201d he said. \u201cThat film is hugely important to a lot of people across the world.
