Derek Hough<\/a><\/strong> shared he remembered wife Hayley Erbert\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> health struggles while watching Celine Dion\u2019s<\/a> <\/strong>documentary <\/span>I Am: Celine Dion<\/span><\/i> via an Instagram Reel posted on Thursday, June 27.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cA very difficult scene was seeing one of Celine\u2019s SPS seizures play out in real time. It was so hard to watch seeing her in pain like that. It also reminded me of Hayley\u2019s seizure on the side of the stage a few months ago. I could barely re-watch,\u201d the 39-year-old wrote<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Haley had experienced a blood vessel burst back in December 2023 where she was rushed into a craniectomy.\u00a0 Later on, the dancer was diagnosed with cranial hematoma. During this difficult time she was asked to refrain from dancing until she was able to resume back in April.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Just like the 29-year-old, Celine also is unable to perform due to her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome. This disease has led to the 56-year-old to have seizures and feeling like she has no control over her body.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After experiencing a seizure in the documentary, she asked the doctor \u201cWell, what am I gonna do?\u2026 If I can\u2019t get stimulated by what I love, and then I\u2019m gonna go onstage and, like, you\u2019re gonna put the pulse oximeter on me and you\u2019re gonna turn me on my back?\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She confessed \u201cIt\u2019s not hard to do a show, you know? I miss it so much, the people, I miss them. If I can\u2019t run, I\u2019ll walk. If I can\u2019t walk, I\u2019ll crawl. But I won\u2019t stop.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Seeing the rough road the \u201cMy Heart Will Go On\u201d hitmaker went through allowed the <\/span>Dancing With the Stars <\/span><\/i>judge to voice the great artist she is, <\/span>\u201cWatched Celine Dion\u2019s new documentary, \u201cI Am Celine,\u201d last night\u2026<\/span>We were lucky enough to meet her a couple of years ago, even sing and dance with her a little\u2026 The documentary was incredibly powerful, showing Celine\u2019s struggles with SPS but also her quirky and fun side,\u201d Derek noted.<\/span><\/p>\n He concluded his message with, \u201cCeline is an absolute legend, with a unique and one in a billion voice. We\u2019re so blessed to witness her talent in our lifetime.
