This October, Qualcomm is announcing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, and Xiaomi apparently has first dibs<\/a> on using it. Thus, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro<\/a> will be the first smartphones to have the upcoming top of the line chipset in them, and they’re expected to be unveiled in October<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n The Xiaomi 15 Pro is now rumored to come with a new single (but wide) aperture main camera with 50 MP resolution and a “super large” sensor, according to the prolific Chinese tipster Digital Chat station. So the variable aperture from its predecessor is gone.<\/p>\n That will be paired with a 50 MP 3x telephoto periscope zoom camera, and the phone will overall be slightly thinner than its predecessor.<\/p>\n The Xiaomi 15 Pro will also have a “2K” resolution micro-curved screen like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra<\/a>, an extra large battery, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.<\/p>\n The Xiaomi 14 Pro<\/a> was never offered officially outside of China, and the Xiaomi 15 Pro may unfortunately have the same fate.<\/p>\n According to previous rumors, the 15 Pro’s ultrawide will have 50 MP resolution too<\/a>, and the main camera will use the 1″-type OmniVision OV50K<\/a> sensor.
