Kevin Costner<\/a><\/strong> revealed that Prince William<\/a><\/strong> disclosed to him that his mother Princess Diana<\/a><\/strong> \u201cfancied\u201d him during an interview with <\/span>People <\/span><\/i><\/a>that was published on June 18.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI happened to be in England, and I got this message that the prince would love to talk, and I said, \u2018What?\u2019\u2026We met in this room, and it was just us. He walked up, and we shook hands. The first line out of his mouth was, \u2018You know, my mom kind of fancied you\u2019,\u201d the 69-year-old shared.<\/span><\/p>\n The<\/span><\/i> Bodyguard <\/span><\/i>star <\/span>was surprised by the conversation with the royal, especially since he had met her before through Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson<\/a> <\/strong>who planned to have them work together on the sequel to the Whitney Houston film. \u201cIt was so sweet\u2026 Sarah was the one that set this up. Sarah was very cool\u2014when she could have been going, \u2018Well, I\u2019m a princess too. What about me?\u2019 She didn\u2019t do that at all. Diana and I began to talk,\u201d he recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n During an interview on <\/span>The Howard Stern Show<\/span><\/i><\/a> on Tuesday, June 18, he told the story of how he brought up <\/span>The Bodyguard 2 <\/span><\/i>to the royal. \u201cI said, \u2018I\u2019m going to do <\/span>Bodyguard 2<\/span><\/i> and I think I can build this around you. Would you be interested?\u2019 She goes, \u2018Yes \u2026 My life\u2019s about to change.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He then added how the late Princess of Wales wondered if there was a kissing scene \u2013 this meeting happened as she was in the divorce stage from her husband King Charles III<\/a><\/strong>, \u201cThe second time we talked she said, \u2018Is there going to be a kissing scene?\u2019 I said, \u2018Do you want there to be one?\u2019 She said, \u2018Yeah,\u2019 and I said, \u2018Then we\u2019ll do that\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n After her passing in 1997 he felt as if he could not replace her. The Royal Family was taken back by rumors of Kevin working on the second film, which apparently was not true: \u201cIt was like, \u2018No, that\u2019s not true.\u2019 It got actually kind of ugly. I let it go for a while. It just got uglier and uglier\u2026I called them up and said, \u2018Stop.
