This device will become fully official on July 8, but until then the brand has started to drip-feed us details about its components. Over the next nine days it plans to reveal all of them one by one, in what is basically a reverse teardown video. A tear-up, if you will. Or, more simply, an assembly video.

So today we start with the screen. The video below, posted to CMF’s official Instagram account, shows how the display is added to the phone’s chassis.

The screen has 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It’s going to be a Super AMOLED panel, hence made by Samsung (that’s a registered trademark by the Korean company), and CMF points out the superiority of OLEDs compared to LCDs, but most phones at the CMF Phone 1’s rumored price point have OLEDs too, so this is kind of a moot point. Anyway, stay tuned for more such teasers coming every day.

As a refresher, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC at the helm, 6/8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 50 MP rear camera with a depth sensor next to it, a 16 MP selfie snapper, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging support. It will of course run Android 14 from day one, with NothingOS on top. In India, it’s rumored to start at INR 15,999.

[ad_2]

Source link

[ad_1] Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is ramping up the hype campaign for its first ever smartphone, the aptly named CMF Phone 1.
