Paris Hilton<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>shared her experiences being sexually abused and forcibly medicated while she attended the Provo Canyon School during her testimony in front of Congress on Wednesday, June 26.\u00a0The Simple Life\u00a0<\/em>alum, 43, was testifying about the abuse that children and teens suffer as part of America\u2019s welfare system, and she spoke about how her heart breaks for foster kids and adopted children in the programs.<\/p>\n

Before shedding a light on the larger issue, Paris shared her own account of the \u201charm that is caused by being placed in youth residential treatment facilities,\u201d per\u00a0Page Six.\u00a0<\/em>As she\u2019s done in the past, she recalled being forcibly transported to the facility, and then she opened up about the abuse inside. \u201cI was force-fed medications and\u00a0sexually abused by the staff,\u201d she told the lawmakers. \u201cI was violently restrained and dragged down hallways, stripped naked and thrown into solitary confinement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cStars are Blind\u201d singer explained that her parents were \u201cdeceived\u201d<\/a> by the school, and she spoke about the need for reform to protect children who don\u2019t have parents who check in on their kids in these facilities, which has led to tragedies, including the recent death of a youth in one of the schools. \u201cAs a mom, these stories break my heart,\u201d she said. \u201cThe treatment these kids have had to endure is criminal. \u2026 I will not stop until America\u2019s youth is safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris has been very vocal about her time at the Provo Canyon School in multiple interviews<\/a>. She\u2019s also spoken frankly about the alleged abuse she endured in the documentary This Is Paris<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and her memoir. She\u2019s also taken part in marches against the school and been joined by other stars who had similar experiences, like her family friend\u00a0Paris Jackson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The reality star explained that she was looking to work more with\u00a0Michael Jackson\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>daughter on reform efforts in a 2021 interview<\/a> with\u00a0Hollywood Life<\/strong>. \u201c[It\u2019s] amazing to have her support and also surprising because I didn\u2019t know that and I\u2019ve known her since she was born, so to hear that from her, her story, was very emotional. She told me to call her whenever and she\u2019ll be there, so I\u2019m going to be planning something soon, definitely,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
