Lily Allen opened up on her <\/span>BBC podcast <\/span>Miss Me?<\/span><\/i><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>and is not holding back some of the more intimate and vulnerable details of the couple and about herself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The conversation was prompted by the podcast\u2019s episode theme, \u201ckink\u201d. A listener inquired if she and Allen\u2019s podcast co host, Miquita, has ever \u201ckink-shamed\u201d anybody. The 39-year-old singer and actress addresses that she \u201cwas very, very promiscuous and experimental,\u201d adding that she \u201chad sex with female sex workers\u201d. So, she is \u201cquite into normalizing everything that people are ashamed about in themselves.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But then she took a step back, and shared a bit about her relationship with her 49-year-old American actor husband. \u201cI wonder if I kink-shame my husband. Because he quite often asks for things, and I\u2019m like: \u2018No, babe, it\u2019s not happening.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n Allen clarifies that she doesn\u2019t just tell him off. \u201cI\u2019m not like: \u2018You piece of shit, how dare you ask me to do that!\u2019\u201d she then joked. \u201cI\u2019m just like: \u2018Hmm, headache. Little headache, got a bit of a headache \u2014 maybe not tonight.\u2019\u201d She also notes that ultimately, her sobriety is a probable factor as to why she is not as promiscuous as she once was.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think alcohol had quite a lot to do with the kink for me,\u201d she shared. \u201cBefore I got with David, I don\u2019t think I\u2019d ever had sex not drunk.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was quite a lot of times when I was doing things I didn\u2019t necessarily want to be doing,\u201d she recalled. \u201cBut I\u2019m a people-pleaser, and I have a deep-rooted fear of abandonment. So, I felt like if I don\u2019t play the game, then I\u2019m going to be abandoned and rejected.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n For the five-year sober singer, she credits her sobriety with helping her change many aspects of her life for the better. She and her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, finalized their divorce in 2018 and share two kids: Ethel and Marnie. In April, she told <\/span>Glamour UK<\/span><\/i><\/a>, \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019d be married to my husband [Harbour]\u2026 I don\u2019t think that my kids would be thriving in the way that they are. I don\u2019t think that I\u2019d have gone into finding acting and how much I enjoy that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI actually don\u2019t even know if I\u2019d be alive if I\u2019m honest if I hadn\u2019t got sober. At the top of my gratitude list when I go to bed every night is my sobriety.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
