However, despite the wider availability, it reportedly doesn\u2019t plan to aggressively expand its San Francisco lineup in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco is Waymo\u2019s second city to offer rides to the general public, following Phoenix. The service was exclusive to Waymo One members (and their invitees) <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/waymo-phoenix-public-193945960.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:starting in 2020;cpos:7;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">starting in 2020<\/a>, and expanded to<a data-i13n=\"cpos:8;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/waymo-phoenix-airport-180027616.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:anyone in the city;cpos:8;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"> anyone in the city<\/a> two years later.<\/p>\n<p>Cruise may have <a data-i13n=\"cpos:9;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/cruise-lays-off-24-percent-of-its-workforce-164800680.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:flamed out spectacularly;cpos:9;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">flamed out spectacularly<\/a>, but Waymo hasn&#8217;t been without its own troubles.
