OnePlus previously confirmed it was working on a new battery technology called Glacier Battery<\/a>, and today, the company shed more light on the project in a series of Weibo posts.<\/p>\n The battery solution will be more efficient, durable and extremely energy-dense compared to other existing solutions. The new cell will be able to provide at least 80% of its original capacity after four years of regular use, way above the industry average of 800 charging cycles.<\/p>\n OnePlus also confirmed the previously rumored<\/a> 6,100 mAh capacity and revealed that we will see the battery in the Ace 3 Pro, which will launch next week.<\/p>\n The new pack will have a 763Wh\/L energy density, and the the battery will weigh just 14 grams.<\/p>\n The battery will also retain the 100W fast charging support, allowing the 6,100 mAh pack to go from 1% to 100% in 36 minutes.<\/p>\n The battery was developed jointly with CATL, the largest battery manufacturer in the EV field<\/a>.
