Shauna Robertson<\/strong>\u2019s 2007 sushi birthday dinner.<\/p>\n\u201cHe has a presence,\u201d Kristen, 43, recalled of Dax, 49. \u201cA protectiveness and he has very broad shoulders. He\u2019s like an upside down triangle, but my main takeaway was that he was chatty.\u201d<\/p>\n
A connection wasn\u2019t truly formed until they reunited at a Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings hockey game. Kristen was going to the event in hopes of chatting with her newly single friend Michael. But as it turns out, the actress ended up talking to his friend Dax.<\/p>\n
\u201cI knew Michael and I was like, \u2018All right, we\u2019re back on the single. We haven\u2019t been single in years. This is gonna be great. I\u2019m gonna go over and flirt with Michael,\u2019\u201d Kristen recalled. \u201cMichael had something else to do and was talking to someone else and Dax came up to me and I was like, \u2018Oh, you were at Shauna\u2019s dinner,\u2019 and he was like, \u2018Yeah, that\u2019s right. I remember you vaguely.’\u201d<\/p>\n
\n<\/blockquote>\nWhile the conversation was great, it wasn\u2019t until the pair engaged in some playful banter that Kristen realized Dax was into her.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was chewing gum and he said, \u2018Do you have any more gum?\u2019 and I said, \u2018No, just this,\u2019 and I kind of coyly took it out of my mouth and he grabbed it from me,\u201d Kristen recalled. \u201cHe goes, \u2018I\u2019ll take it\u2019 and then he put it in his mouth, and I was like, \u2018This guy wants to f**k me.’\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple ended up getting married in October 2013 during a simple ceremony at a Beverly Hills courthouse. They now share daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9.<\/p>\n
While celebrating Valentine\u2019s Day in 2018, Kristen shared a few pieces of advice for other couples hoping to have a strong and successful relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cRejoice in what makes the other person happy and allow them their individual interests,\u201d she wrote via Instagram<\/a>. \u201cKnow that everyone is doing the best they can with what they\u2019ve got.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
