Nintendo announced five first party games, closed out with a launch-window trailer for the long (<em>very\u00a0<\/em>long) anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Other headlines included <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/its-a-november-launch-for-mario-luigi-brothership-as-the-brothers-are-back-after-almost-a-decade\/\">Mario &amp; Luigi: Brothership<\/a>, the first game in the Mario &amp; Luigi series in about a decade; <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/play-as-zelda-for-the-first-time-in-the-newly-announced-the-legend-of-zelda-echoes-of-wisdom\/\">The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom<\/a>, where players\u00a0<em>finally\u00a0<\/em>get to play as Zelda in her kingdom; and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, coming in January. And don\u2019t sleep on the new <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/take-part-in-the-biggest-mario-party-yet-with-super-mario-party-jamboree\/\">Super Mario Party Jamboree<\/a> game, either. The series has a dedicated audience, and they get their new release the earliest of all five (Oct. 17).<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a roundup of everything announced at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, with their trailers, a whopping 31 in all. Some of this we knew, a lot of it is third-party crowd pleasers from Nintendo\u2019s longtime publishing partners. You wouldn\u2019t expect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/kX3BkD5PVUM\">Nintendo to fill up 40 minutes by itself<\/a>, would you?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong>Mario &amp; Luigi: Brothership<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Mario &amp; Luigi: Brothership \u2013 Announcement Trailer \u2013 Nintendo Switch\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s5I3DcapElQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This is <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/its-a-november-launch-for-mario-luigi-brothership-as-the-brothers-are-back-after-almost-a-decade\/\">the first game<\/a> in the Mario &amp; Luigi franchise in almost 10 years, launching on Nov. 7. Players can look forward to an adventure that combines platforming with top-down exploration and combat over a series of islands.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong>Nintendo World Championships NES Edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition \u2013 Survival Mode &amp; Legend Challenge \u2013 Nintendo Switch\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GBhA0XdNb94?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>Launching July 18, this is a Switch adaptation of the \u201cNES Olympics\u201d \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/nintendo-world-championships-nintendo-switch-esrb-rating\/\">the NES World Championships<\/a> that toured 29 American cities with the goal of determining who thes best Nintendo player was. The trailer for this cozycore, Animal Crossing-like title gave a launch window of 2025. In Farmagia, players raise a huge herd of different, powerful monsters to take out boss enemies and turn their ranch into a formidable battle station. It launches Jan. 16.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong>Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake \u2013 Release Date Trailer \u2013 Nintendo Switch\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1ltsk99E-RY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>First announced in May 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/dragon-quest-3-teaser-surfaces-hinting-at-more-during-summer-game-fest\/\">Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake<\/a> now has a launch date: Nov. 14 for Nintendo Switch. The difference is these cross over with other pop culture franchises, otherwise, what would the point be of a Funko game. In this case, it looks like they\u2019re all Universal Pictures properties Jurassic Park, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Battlestar Galactica.
